Over $83,000 raised to support local and international causes
Prophix Software, a global leader in developing Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software, released an update on the progress of the Prophix Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund for the first half of 2015.  The annual fund is dedicated to supporting compelling social causes as chosen by Prophix employees.

While Prophix has played an active part in its local community over the last five years, the CSR fund, established this year, formally empowers Prophix employees to give back to the communities where Prophix operates and beyond.

“At Prophix, we believe that it is the responsibility of every person and organization to contribute towards making the world a better place,” said Paul Barber, Prophix’s CEO. “This value is embraced wholly by our dedicated team who are making a positive impact around the globe.”

The social programs that Prophix has participated in include:

Free the Children Adopt a Village – $30,000 donated to the Irkaat community in Kenya. The Adopt a Village program seeks to drive change through investing in the community infrastructure to create lasting change. Prophix funds will aid in creating holistic and sustainable solutions for education, health, clean water, agriculture and food security and alternative income and livelihood development.

Korn Family Trust – $45,000 donated to a trust established in memory of Julian Korn, a Prophix employee who sadly passed this year, leaving behind a young family.  Prophix employees raised funds through a number of employee driven initiatives and Prophix matched all donations.

5 Days for the Homeless – $1,500 donated in support of homeless youth in Hamilton, Ontario. 5 Days for the Homeless aims to increase awareness of homelessness and raise donations for local charitable organizations supporting homeless and at-risk youth across the country. In recognition of this cause a Prophix employee participated in this unique challenge, sleeping outdoors for 5 days.

UK Marathon – $2,300 raised in support of Managing Director, Prophix UK, Daniel Mason completing the London Marathon which he ran for Silver Star Society, a provider of special care for mothers with medical complications during pregnancy.
